Project P.I.T.T. Secrets: Cameras, UV & Crates

Under the duck factory is a second game about being watched. This page collects every secret system that isn’t the main walkthrough’s job to explain.

The cameras and “I SEE YOU”

Climb without preparation and a 5-second countdown fires — I SEE YOU — followed by a respawn. Two official fixes (both straight from the developer’s FAQ):

  1. Look at the lights at the ends of the support pillars — this disables the height countdown.
  2. Smash the cameras by throwing products at them.

The secret-ending route prefers method 2 (dead cameras stay dead); the fuse run works with either. Related hidden achievements: BAD? (get seen — the lit observation window with someone watching counts) and INVISIBLE? (be unseen where you used to be watched, after the cameras are gone). Details on the achievements page.

The watcher window

The observation window can light up with someone on the other side. It is scripted, it is unsettling, and it is the BAD? trigger. Look back at it. That’s all we’ll spoil.

Gambling crates — the full hunt

10 crates total, four types, each dropping its product family when broken with a Pickaxe or Automated Bat:

CrateContains
WoodenDucks
MetalCash Registers
PlushPiñatas
AnomalyAnomalies

They spawn around the floor, catwalks, dark rooms (light up after the matching machine unlock), delivery pipes and the shop tubes. GAMBLING! (22.5%) wants all of them found — a crate dumped into The Maw unopened can cost you the last ping, so hunt before you feed mystery boxes. Stuck at 9/10: walk the pipes and dark rooms again. Shop prices climb per purchase — they’re collectibles with a gambling habit, not an income stream.

The dark outer rooms

Rooms beyond the main floor start pitch dark. They light up when you unlock the matching machines — another official-FAQ fact. If CONSUMERISM! is done and a room is still dark, you missed a machine somewhere in the terminal.

UV secrets

The UV flashlight (won from the mining game in the secret route) reveals markings normal light can’t: hidden numbers, the anomaly crafter’s pickaxe slot, and your save’s elevator code written on the backs of machines. One warning crosses pages: the Sponge erases wall markings for money — don’t clean walls you haven’t UV-checked.

Easter eggs

  • Prop flight — the flying-while-holding trick started as a bug and was kept as a feature.
  • The height countdown tip is diegetic — the FAQ’s hint was “look at the pillars around the map”, and the pillars really do tell you.
  • The Golden Duck Statue exists in the shop purely to be a giant golden duck. Consumerism includes it.
