Project P.I.T.T. Panels: Why They Fall & Fixes

Panels are the building block of every factory — and the single biggest source of “why did my wall just fall over”. The rules, the variants, and the fixes.

The three panel types

All three obey the same sticking rules, and all are carried faster with the Panel Rack, a multi-level upgrade added in update 1.0.5.

Why panels fall over

Short version: panels only hold after the sticky tools upgrade, and only when placed against the floor or against something already stuck. The developer’s own FAQ answer to “how do I make panels stay?” is exactly that. If your build collapses:

1. No sticky yet — it unlocks right after panels; keep feeding.
2. Floating anchor — the chain’s first piece must touch ground.
3. Stuck to a loose object — the anchor itself has to be stuck.
4. Phase-change rubble knocked it loose — see debris cleanup.

Placement craft

• Lay pieces flat with a quick double-tap of reset rotation (G) — a 1.0.5 addition that ends the fiddly-rotation era. Free rotation stays on middle mouse, snap on R.
• Build a V-funnel into a fan for your first lane; upgrade to full walls only where product actually escapes. Pretty geometry second, containment first.
• Cushion where product lands, slick where it travels. Bounce is the top cause of leaking lanes; friction is the top cause of slow ones.
• Panels read 2 kg each on the weighing platform, so a stuck-panel box doubles as the community-favorite carrying container for the 200 kg puzzle.

Wall markings

If you notice markings on walls: the Sponge tool wipes them for a small payout, and some markings are only visible under the UV flashlight late in the secret route. Don’t sponge UV clue areas before reading them — the elevator code clues are wall markings too.
